Hiiiiii. Another haul. I know. Anyway, I’ve been wanting to try out some Korean make up since last year. While we were traveling across Negros this year I realized how handy it is to have a cushion foundation since you can basically put it on wherever you are (in a bus for example) unlike the regular foundation which I regularly apply with a brush or a sponge. I bought these from a shop based in Korea. As always, remember to look at the shop’s location and feedback to make sure you are getting the real thing.
A’PIEU Air Fit Apieu Cushion – 13.5g (SPF50+ PA+++) US $6.99 click here
I chose the A’pieu Cushion foundation mainly because it’s cheap haha. And I like the packaging. It looks sleek and it’s blue. I LOVE BLUE. So far, I have been liking it. Whenever I use this, my face isn’t as oily even without a mattifying primer. The only thing I don’t like about this is the shade selection. They offer 3 shades but the only shade available was 21. I am not pale, my skin tone is light to light-medium and I was, of course, expecting it to be lighter than my skin tone but it’s really way too light on me. Anyway, it’s nothing a bronzer or powder can’t fix lol.
A’PIEU Air Fit Cushion Pposong Refill – 14g (SPF50+ PA+++) US $4.07 here
I bought a refill thinking 13.5ml is too little but a little goes a long way with this one. It also has SPF 30 which I would definitely need, living in the Philippines and all.
A’PIEU Nonco Tea Tree Emulsion – 125ml here
Koreans are well-known for their very nice skin and skin care routines so I wanted to try out some of their skincare items. I still have a lot left of my moisturizer, toner, facial wash and scrub so I opted to buy something I have never tried before: emulsion. I can’t say for sure whether it’s working or not but I haven’t broken out yet so that’s good.
THE FACE SHOP AIR COTTON COTTON MAKE UP BASE 40ML ($3.94 or Php 183.95) here
I got the one in green to cancel out the redness as I have a lot of that on my cheeks. Another color available is in lavender which is for dull skin. I actually haven’t tried this one yet. Hopefully it works well.
EBAY BRUSHES! I got everything here.
POWDER BRUSH WITH ROSE GOLD HANDLE ($1.54 or Php 72.13)
I was expecting the handle to be in ROSE gold, not GOLD. It’s a very yellowy gold which I am not a fan of but it seems well made and the bristles are soft. This works well as a powder brush but it can also be used for powder bronzers. I don’t know how to describe the shape but the tip is dome shaped but it’s not round like other powder brushes. I’ll attach the photo for accuracy lol.
POWDER BRUSH WITH BLACK HANDLE ($0.94 or Php 44.03)
This is super soft too. It picks up a good amount of product and applies it well.
KABUKI BLUSH BRUSH (C$2.60 or Php 94.43)
It was labelled as a blush brush but it’s too big and the top part is too wide to be a good blush brush. I tried putting on blush with this and it was so difficult to apply blush on my just cheeks as it went even over my contour. This is a very good powder brush though, that I must say. (I’ve too many powder brushes at this point lol) I think this one looks like an IT cosmetics brush but don’t quote me on that since I don’t follow every American cosmetics company out there. This might be a dupe for another brand.
“PROFESSIONAL HANDMADE RATTAN MAKEUP BRUSH” (C$1.80 or Php 58.11)
I doubt that this was handmade but this seems to be of good quality too. The bristles are not as soft as the rest and it can get scratchy sometimes. However, this is a really versatile brush. As it’s tapered, I can use this to apply my highlight and for setting my under eye concealer. This is also a good brush for contouring or bronzing as it can get into the hollow of my cheeks. I think this is a dupe for another brush but I forgot the brand.
LARGE GOAT HAIR FAN BRUSH (£1 or Php 62.36)
I don’t think this is real goat hair. These names are misleading. I think most of these are just key words so they get picked up by the search engine more often. Anyway, I am not really a fan of this. It’s too big for me, I guess. It gets highlighter everywhere, figuratively speaking of course. I’ll be trying this one out more.
4 PCS EYESHADOW BRUSHES (£0.75 or Php 43.65)
I LOVE THESE. They aren’t the softest BUT! They pick up and blend eye shadows soooo well. I really like the black one, I think it’s the right size for blending transition colour and or just buffing the colour into the crease. I might have read somewhere that these were being compared to some MAC brushes but I don’t own any MAC brush and I don’t think they’ll match up to those expensive brushes anyway as these shed a little and 2 of them are scratchy. However, I think you should really get this. This was auctioned so I got it for less than a pound but I think this one normally retails for £1. Such a good deal if you ask me.
I also bought another brush, it was a dupe for the NARS’ Ita brush but the seller probably forgot to include it in any one of my packages. I was so excited for that too. Anyway, they immediately sent me a refund after I informed them of the situation, so… all’s good. As I wrote above, some of these may be dupes for some brushes but I am not sure what brand or type. Comment below if you know what these are dupes for. Help a sister lol.
Also, some of these I got through an auction from that store that’s why I didn’t include separate links for each item just a single link to the Ebay store.
Til next time!
